Pre-Prosthetic Surgery
The process of preparing your oral cavity for the placement of a prosthesis is known as pre-prosthetic surgery.
Certain patients may necessitate minor oral surgical interventions before obtaining a partial or complete denture to ensure optimal comfort. Since a denture rests on the bone ridge, it is crucial that the bone exhibits the appropriate shape and size. Achieving an ideal denture fit may entail smoothing out or reshaping the bone. On occasion, it may be necessary to eliminate excess bone before inserting the denture.
